In the Versus Mode, the player can play as any two characters from the anime, including Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado in a 2v2 match with up to two players in offline or online mode. In the Solo Play Mode, the player relives the story depicted in the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba leading up to the Mugen Train Arc, and will take on the control of Tanjiro Kamado and fight against demons in order to return his sister Nezuko Kamado back to human after their family was killed and she was turned into a demon. The Hinokami Chronicles is a third-person action arena-fighter, allowing up to 2 players to fight on a battlefield.
